چکیده
Bioremediation of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in contaminated soils are reported many literatures. Composting, addition to bioremediation, can simultaneously increase soil organic matter content and fertility is thus regarded as one the most cost-effective methods remediation. In this study, biodegradation phenanthrene (PHE) pyrene (PYR) by microbial consortia enriched vermicompost. After samples preparation grinding, were with 100, 200, 300 mg/kg PHE PYR concentrations inoculated three (2, 4, 6 wt.%) analyzed HPLC during bioremediation. 70 days, two highly capable used remove pollutants bioaugmentation conditions. Analysis their composition revealed that contain several Proteobacteria phylum bacterial species, common genera Pseudomonas Citrobacter. Decontamination rates for estimated be 89% 83% over 45 respectively. Biodegradation kinetics degradation followed a first-order kinetics. This study provides clear evidence on PYR, paving way development bioremediation technologies recovery polluted ecosystems.

Soil from a former creosoting plant containing phenols and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, was remediated using an ex-situ landtreatment process. Total 16 USEPA priority PAH and total phenol were reduced from 290 mg/kg and 40 mg/kg to < 200 mg/kg and 2 mg/kg, respectively. The bioremediation process involved soil mixing, aeration, and slow release fertilizer addition. The indigenous populatio...
